On April 28, student workers at the University of Oregon (UOSW-UAW) went on strike, the first strike on campus in 11 years. These essential workers are a significant reason why the UO is able to operate and are fighting for fair pay, better working conditions, and an equal voice in the workplace. When any worker in Oregon goes on strike, it’s our duty as Oregon’s Labor Movement to stand behind them each and every step of the way until they win the contract they deserve.
Here’s how you can show solidarity with the striking student workers today:
Walk a Picket Line
Student workers will have active picket lines running from 8:00am - 5:00pm until the strike settles outside of Johnson Hall at 1098 E 13th Street in Eugene
