⚠️RESOURCES FOR FEDERAL WORKERS IMPACTED BY GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN⚠️

Updated: 1 day ago

ree

As the government shutdown continues to stretch on, federal employees are no longer receiving paychecks and many have been furloughed.

We have gathered a list of Oregon specific and national resources for federal workers that have been furloughed.

We are now on day 21 of the government shutdown, tying for the second longest shutdown in U.S. history with the 1995-1996 shutdown during the Bill Clinton presidency. The longest shutdown, 35 days, occurred during Trump's last term in 2018-2019.

This shutdown is harming hundreds of thousands of workers.

Trump's administration is using federal workers as pawns to continue their attack on working class people and our healthcare. Nearly 30K federal workers in Oregon are going unpaid every day this shutdown continues. Congress must act to defend our healthcare and protect federal workers.

If you have been furloughed, Oregon has resources for you.

The Oregon AFL-CIO federal resources page is a comprehensive kit to combat the attacks we are seeing on our jobs, rights, healthcare, and communities. Our resources for federal workers includes:
