On Thursday, April 8 Oregon’s unions will come together and make a difference for working people across Oregon. We need your help to make sure we can talk to as many of Oregon’s lawmakers as possible about the policies and issues that if passed, will help make Oregon a more just and fair place for all to work and live. At the center of our advocacy in the 2021 Oregon Legislature is a worker-focused recovery from the economic fallout of the pandemic and creating a culture of workplace safety to ensure every worker in Oregon can return home from work safe, and without worry of bringing infectious diseases like COVID-19 with them. That’s why we’re asking you to sign up for our 2021 Oregon Labor Lobby Day which will be held on April 8 on Zoom. Never before have we been able to meet with as many legislators as we will this year, but we need your help to do that.
If you have never participated in a lobby day before, don’t worry! Before meeting with lawmakers you will learn about the policies we will be speaking about and will receive training from experienced legislative advocates on how to share your story and perspective with lawmakers. Each meeting with lawmakers will have a group leader and clearly defined roles within each group to ensure your meetings with lawmakers go smoothly and make a difference. The single most effective way to move policies forward to help workers is by lawmakers hearing from the people who will be impacted. We need you to sign up by April 4 to guarantee that you will be able to meet with the State Legislators that represent you. SIGN UP TODAY AND HELP PUSH OREGON FORWARD FOR WORKING PEOPLE.
