Yesterday, voters in Missouri overwhelmingly voted down Prop. A. The defeat of this dangerous anti-worker legislation is yet another example of what happens when working people stand together and organize to defend our rights. What happened in Missouri follows a national wave of strong activism that is inspiring workers and demonstrates that the labor movement is the most effective way to give working people a pathway to prosperity.
The activism and hard work displayed in Missouri prove that when we stand together and take action, anything is possible. Oregon’s unions will follow Missouri’s example in the upcoming election by electing pro-worker leaders who will champion policies to make our communities places where working people can thrive.
