Convention 2025
The 59th Biennial Convention of the Oregon AFL-CIO will be held September 4 - 6 at the Seaside Civic & Convention Center in beautiful Seaside, Oregon.

Oregon AFL-CIO affiliates should have received registration materials in June. Please contact our office immediately if you have not received your Convention Call mailing!

Per Capita must be paid through May 2025 to receive your credentials. From the OR AFL-CIO Constitution and By-Laws:
​
4.2 The average per capita tax paid for the first twelve (12) months of the fifteen (15) month period immediately preceding the month in which the regular or special convention is to be held shall be used as the basis for computing the number of convention delegates and the number of votes to which Local Unions are entitled on roll call votes. Per capita which has been waived in accordance with Article 15.3a shall be considered per capita paid, when used in accordance with Article 7.4.

Per capita which has been waived in accordance with Article 15.3a shall not be considered as paid when used in conjunction with this Article for the purpose of computing the number of votes, and the number of delegates to which Local Unions are entitled. The average membership of a Local Union which affiliates or re-affiliates after the beginning of the base period shall be pro-rated by dividing by twelve (12) the total on which per capita tax has been paid for the months affiliated prior to the end of the base period.

Submitting Resolutions: A central component of Oregon AFL-CIO Conventions is resolutions - the documents that shape and guide our federation’s priorities for the next two years.

The deadline to submit resolutions is less than a month away on August 21. Resolutions can be submitted to communications@oraflcio.org.
